The 2010 football season started off with a bang for the Monroe City Panthers as they cruised to victory over Monroe County rival, Paris 46-6, in the annual Battle of Monroe County.

The Lady Panthers Softball Team took third place in the Monroe City tournament Saturday. The team includes: Katy Hays, Olivia Crager, Kara Bichsel, Paige O’Bryan, Carly Spalding, Riley James, Monica Harris; Katie Pennewell, Coach Nicole Ray, Desirae Murp 3, 1942 to Dec. 23, 1945.
