Local team does well in agronomy contest
On Oct. 13, Donnie Hays, Allie Foster, Chanson Burns, and Shelby Davis attended the fall agronomy contest at Northwest Missouri State University.
They competed against 14 teams from across the state of Missouri and parts of Iowa. There was a 100-question multiple choice test, and in addition to that, they had to identify 50 weed seeds and plants, and 50 crop seeds and plants.
Also, they had to judge soy beans and wheat. Donnie Hays received second high individual and the Monroe City FFA chapter placed second overall in this contest.
