Monroe City Police Chief Rick Stone reported the following activity for the past week.
Police arrested Todd A. Grigsby of Monroe City for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, endangering the welfare of a child, careless and imprudent driving and excessive speeding following numerous complaints from the public that a silver or white vehicle was traveling at an excessive rate of speed while children were trick or treating in the Park and Cleveland Street area. Grigsby remains in the Monroe County Jail. He struck a car belonging to Adrian Saunders. The car was parked in front of 320 E. Cleveland St.
Police responded to a peace disturbance report at Dugout Bar on Nov. 1. Parties were advised to leave. Police responded to a fight in progress at 301 W. Border St. on Nov. 1. No one wanted to press charges. A warrant was issued on Oct. 28 for the arrest of Russell J. Young on a probation violation in Ralls County. Police served three eviction notices.
