The Fourth of July 2009 brought more reason for celebration for one couple, Terry and Stephanie Pettitt of Holts Summit, formerly of Monroe City. 

They welcomed the birth of their first child only moments before the fireworks.

Aiden David Pettitt was born at 8:18 pm weighing 7 lbs, 5 oz.

Aiden is the first grandchild born on both sides of his parent’s families.

Welcoming Aiden into their families are David and Connie Moss of Monroe City, Bret and Sheila Gosney of Monroe City, and Jeff and Alison Pettitt of Palmyra.
Aiden is the great-grandson of Mae Pfanner and the late Gerald Pfanner, the late Clifton and Bonnie Moss, Dean and Marilyn Hammock of Hannibal, J.D. and Mary Gosney of Monroe City, Scharon Pettitt and the late Donald Pettitt of Hannibal.
