A Monroe County college student has been diagnosed as having H1N1 virus, according to Monroe County Health Department Administrator Barbara Landrum.

No other details are available, due to privacy issues.

Landrum said the first 100 doses of H1N1 FluMist should arrive this week in Monroe County and will be distributed according to a priority system.

She said only half of the the usual amounts of seasonal vaccine have arrived as manufacturers quit making it to produce the H1N1 virus vaccination. “We only received about half of our seasonal vaccine, and it will be gone by the end of the day,” she said on Monday. She said additional supplied are expected to arrive from separate suppliers this month and next.
She said the public will be notified of clinics through their local media.
