Ralls County Commission

The Ralls County Commission met with Darren Snodgrass in regards to the Baptist Church wanting to sell the youth building (the old Methodist church) during its meeting Sept. 10.
The commission signed an agreement with Peters Heating and Air Conditioning for the maintenance on the water cooling tower and the heaters and air conditioners.
The commission held a Board of Equalization meeting. Those present were Dick Lawler and Steve Lewton, citizens, Marty Wasson, county surveyor and the Ralls County Commission. After much discussion the B.O.E. made a new proposal to Continental Cement Company. They called Mark Strieker of Continental Cement and he accepted the proposal.
The commission approved the minutes from the previous meeting and discussed general road maintenance.
The next meeting was set for Sept. 14.

Ralls County Commission discusses bridge projects

The Ralls County Commission met with Macy Rodenbaugh from MoDot in regards to the bridges in Ralls County to be built under the Safe and Sound Program during its meeting Sept. 14.
They also talked about the roads they may use as detours.
Roger Green provided an update regarding Spencer Creek Lane Bridge and the progress on it.
Bill Bowman discussed the flood buy-out.
Eric Kirby spoke about C-Com Inc. burying a fiber optic line in Ralls County.
Jennifer Hinson from MoDot spoke about Saverton Drive.
Linda Lake met with the commission regarding Parkview Trail. She told the commission about some holes in the road.
The commission signed the wire transfer on the Courthouse Improvements payment.
The commission approved previous minutes, discussed general road maintenance and signed checks and warrants before setting the next meeting for Sept. 21.

Commission discusses 911 again

911 Coordinator Sam Curd appeared to update the commission on operations the 911 mapping system at the start of the Monroe County Commission meeting Monday, Sept. 14.
The commission reviewed the progress on the courthouse drainage project.
The commission and county clerk executed the Funding Agreement and the Grant Approval for the Courthouse ADA project with the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The commission approved progress invoices for the BRO 34 Bridge Project and the 205 Columbia Bridge Project.
The commission inquired about the rental of a boom lift during its Friday, Sept. 11 meeting.
Commission completed filing requirements for NIMCAST.
The commission approved and signed payroll and routine bills.
The commission attended the update and planning session in regards to the opening of Highway 36.
The commission inspected continuing sidewalk improvements.
